About me

My name is Lukas Urbaník and I was born in November 1988 in Zlín, Czech Republic. My first experience with photography came in early childhood when I began documenting our family memories with our classic film camera. In 2003 I had my first experience in journalistic photography with a digital camera (KODAK) borrowed from my friend.

The beginning was tough. My first shoot was at the concert of a regional rock star band, Master, but thanks to this experience, I began to work with many other bands in the musical sphere. In time, I received a Canon EOS 400 D thanks to my families' financial support. With the purchase of my first camera offered more opportunities such as photo shoots for a regional web server company, klobucko.cz, and more musical events.

By 2006 I was regularly shooting at music venues and cultural events throughout the Czech Republic and collaborating with music web sites companies. Over the years, I have perfected a technique which entails alternating Canon and Sigma. This expanded my work experience and knowledge into areas like commercial photography, portraiture and wedding photography.

I follow the motto: Every photo shoot is an experience and an inspiration.
